Having Taylor was wonderful! Her presence was incredibly reassuring, as this was the first baby for my husband and me.
We would have been rather scared if we did not have someone with experience guiding us through the process. She calmed us down and told us we were doing a great job, which is what we needed! Also, her postpartum visit was great. She kindly took care of a few things around the house and showed us again how to swaddle and use our baby carriers. She even made my lunch! It was such a relaxing visit (...after having to entertain so many family visitors). - Gabriella, First time mom in Downtown Dallas, Texas I wasn't sure if I needed a doula, but am so glad that I had Taylor there for the birth of my third baby. I contacted several doulas late in my pregnancy and felt super comfortable with Taylor right away.
During my labor, Taylor came when I needed her and was a huge help at keeping me calm and keeping me breathing well through back to back contractions. She was also awesome and so helpful after baby was born. Jessica, mom of three in McKinney, Texas They were there with me every step of the way - even when things didn't go as planned. I can hardly wait to use them again!
Jaime, First time mom in Arlington, Texas (supported by doula team: Taylor Estrada and Julia Sexton) Taylor is a very calming and lighthearted individual. She brings comfort with her wherever she goes and especially into a birth.
My husband and I loved having Taylor as a resource before the birth of our gorgeous daughter. We loved the extra support during labor and delivery, the extra set of hands for pain management techniques and a confident person to keep us focused and grounded when it got tough. It was especially awesome for her to keep tabs on how labor progressed and offer a non biased account of our daughter's birth. This was our fourth child and my husband's telling of the previous births is very traumatic and I believe this birth was equally as traumatic, but the doula made the difference. We weren't in this alone! The post-partum doulaing was the best part. She made sure I ate and drank to recover quickly and came to my house to offer support with the baby and even vacuumed and grocery shopped for me while I recovered! The absolute best thing about Taylor is the connection we made and get to continue throughout my daughter's life. She's wonderful and a blessing to have by your side! -Leesa, mom of four in Richardson, TX You really helped make Guy's and Heather's experience special.
Susan, Proud mother of one of my clients; Heather in Dallas, Texas "I think having the right doula is very necessary during natural childbirth. Doulas have a lot of knowledge in breathing techniques, positioning, massage, and guided imagery that is crucial for natural childbirth. I also like the support and comfort that is given to the patient.
She was friendly to me and willing to work with me in providing good, safe care. She was very helpful in coaching the patient with breathing techniques, positioning, and providing counter pressure. I loved that the lights were turned down low and music was playing to provide a good environment for the patient. " -Abby, RN, Dallas Presbyterian Hospital Taylor and Alisha did a great job, they worked together flawlessly as a team. They took the time to meet with us before the birth, helped answer endless questions, provided a magnitude of resources, and reassured us every step of the way. The day of our birth, both Taylor and Alisha, supported every aspect of the day. It was so instinctual for them, they were right on target, suggesting and doing things even before I could ask them. There was never a need for me to ask, they anticipated both my needs and Daniel's.
The emotional and physical support helped me bring our healthy baby boy into this world. Their support didn't end at our birth. Both doulas served as a lifeline, after we came home. As a new mom, they helped me deal with the many fears and tribulations that come with a newborn. I can't imagine not having them as part of my birthing and new mom team. Thank you very much. -Yesenia, First time mom in Farmers Branch, TX (supported by doula team: Taylor Rhodes-Estrada and Alisha Tinoco) From the beginning of my pregnancy I knew that I wanted a doula present during labor. I knew that some of my friends had had doulas and had nothing but praise and great things to say. I talked to a couple friends and asked if they would speak to their doulas and pass on some referrals. This is how my husband and I met Taylor.
From the very first meeting we felt completely embraced and comfortable. It was really like connecting with an old friend. She shared her own birth experience with us and gave her background. I felt completely comfortable having her around. We talked about what my husband and I wanted for the birth of our son and how I really wanted labor to go. There was no question I could think of that was ridiculous. We could tell that Taylor has an amazing passion for what she's doing. This was beyond important for us. It felt like we were her only clients. Ske kept in contact with us, which helped to continually ease any fears that I had that would come up and assured me that things would be just fine. During the labor, Taylor was amazing. I remember how she talked my husband through things to help him help me even more. She and my husband worked together using techniques to ease the contractions to help me manage them. She helped to create an environment of calm even through the pain. I felt I was able to fully relax during contractions. I would recommend Taylor any day. She has a passion for being a doula that deeply connects her to the future mothers and fathers she will help. Her passion is not something that can be taught. She's a natural. -Heather, First time mom in Dallas, TX "Thank you" is not enough for the care and support you gave to our client recently. Her birth was a joyful event for her largely due to you and your support. We look forward to working with you again soon.
